First Days in Capetown and Langebaan

← All Posts

After the first days in Cape Town we decided to go to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Nearly a full day we spend in this National Park, we hiked some trails and get some sandy feet on the Beach. With an sweet little antelope family we got so pretty nice shots and went back to the Car. A little Pit stop at the Boulders Beach to see some Penguins is a must in my eyes. At Home we grabbed some food and than was time for our first Load Sheeding period. For those who don’t know what this means: South Africa got a big problem with his power management so some times you have no electricity. But no problem because we were so done that we decided to sleep earlier.
A Kite session later we hiked up the Table Mountian on the Skeleten Gorge way. What a beautiful but exhausting hike to the top. Some photos down below. This perfekt start came out to a little sad ending because we have to leave our first Family. We had here the perfect conditions to start such a long trip and a very lovely Family. Some km later we landed in Langebaan. This is a small little Town founded in 1990 in the north of Cape Town. All the Houses have a modern touch but I don’t like every one. Our new home is a Air Bnb Hostel for Backpackers / Kitesurfers and Sailing enthusiasts. In our new room the bed’s are to short for people over 187cm but we arranged it to sleep there as well. So right know we are here and go Kiting in a perfect lagoon for beginners and Advanced Kiters to progress their Skills. With two german guys from Kiel we have battles on the water who is jumping higher…
So stay tuned for our next Post than from Port Elizabeth and the Addo Elefant National Park 🙂
